Louis DiBella

Co-Owner & Coach

I’ve been coaching for over a decade, helping people at all fitness levels build strength, improve movement, and grow their confidence through functional training. My focus is always on form, safety, and creating a supportive space where everyone feels challenged and motivated.

In addition to my work at Galveston Island Fitness, I’m the founder of The DiBella Team, a top-performing real estate group that I continue to lead today. My approach to leadership and community was shaped early on while helping at my family’s former restaurant, DiBella’s Italian Restaurant, a Galveston favorite that was known for its strong community ties and dedication to service.

Outside the gym and real estate, I enjoy cycling, fishing, and spending time with my wife Virginia and our family. My faith is the foundation of everything I do, and it guides how I show up, for my clients, our members, and the community we serve. I’m proud to be part of a fitness space that builds strength, purpose, and connection.

Richie San Gregory

Co-Owner and Coach

I’ve been a CrossFit coach since 2011 and, alongside my wife, have owned and operated a gym in Galveston since 2013. Coaching is more than a job—it's our passion. We love being part of the fitness community and helping people reach goals they once thought were out of reach, whether it's weight loss, building strength, or gaining confidence through movement.

Outside the gym, we stay busy raising our two amazing kids, Lily and Noah, and coaching all of their sports teams. We’re also full-time real estate agents and active members of Coastal Community Church. Faith, family, fitness, and community are the heart of everything we do.

Krystle San Gregory

Co-Owner and Coach

I’ve been coaching boot camp since 2015, and my husband and I have proudly owned a gym in Galveston since 2013. Fitness changed my life in 2011 during one of the hardest seasons I’ve ever faced. Group training gave me purpose, community, and strength—and now I’m passionate about helping others experience that same transformation. Whether it’s seeing someone lose weight, gain confidence, or do something they never thought possible, coaching is one of the most rewarding parts of my life.

Outside the gym, we’re full-time real estate agents, busy parents to our two amazing kids, Lily and Noah, and deeply involved in youth sports and our church, Coastal Community Church. Faith, family, and community are at the heart of everything we do.

Keegan Smith

Coach

I’m a local Galveston firefighter and former gym owner with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance, focusing on exercise science. I’ve held a USA Weightlifting (USAWL) certification and have coached baseball for many years. While I now coach baseball privately from time to time, I bring a strong background in fitness and athletic performance to my coaching here at Galveston Island Fitness.

Hi, I’m Katie Assad! I’m a mom of three, an Instructional Coach at Parker Elementary, and a big believer in sunshine, movement, and community. I was born and raised in Houston, but Galveston has been home since 2009, I truly love island life!

When I’m not working at Parker or coaching at Galveston Island Fitness, you’ll find me spending time with my family, gardening, or soaking up the sunshine near any body of water. Nature is my happy place!
 
Bootcamp workouts and the amazing community that came with it changed my life in 2018, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I’m beyond excited to help others tap into their strength and discover what they’re capable of. I can’t wait to move, sweat, and grow with you!

With over 12 years of experience in strength and conditioning, I’m passionate about making fitness a positive, rewarding experience—no matter your stage of life or physical limitations. To me, a healthy lifestyle goes far beyond lifting weights.

It’s about fueling your body with nutritious food, staying mobile through stretching, and prioritizing rest and recovery. I love helping people discover what their bodies are capable of through intentional movement and consistent effort.

I specialize in prenatal and postpartum fitness, as well as nutrition coaching, and I’m dedicated to supporting every individual’s unique fitness journey with compassion, knowledge, and purpose.

I’ve been coaching for more than 6 years and absolutely love helping others reach and exceed their fitness goals. My approach is all about encouragement, community, and having fun while putting in the work.

Outside the gym, I’m a proud mom to the most amazing little girl and wife to an equally amazing husband, both of whom are bound to come up at least twice during class!
